THE 411 ON BTC
To fully and completely understand BreakThroughColour, there are three things to remember:
1) HUE is a MATRIX of Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow
2) VALUE shows Hue on a hueless SLIDER
3) SATURATION is the SUM of all parts
If you're new to Hue, Value, and Saturation, now would be a good time to learn a bit about The Properties of Colour. Head over to that page, then come back to this one, so we'll all be on the same page for sure, primed and ready to get to know our Colours, then break on through to the other side and crack some Colour Codes.
A KEY FOR COLOUR
There's a lot of information packed into every BTC Colour Card, and even though every colour and code is different (and there are 280 different cards... so far), the code itself is basically the same throughout the entire collection. All we really need is one 'Key Card' to decipher, reference, and explain the different letters, numbers, symbols, sums, and sliders.
What's the best card to give us all this basic information? Let's call on 411...
411: THE COLOUR SIDE
Calling it what it is, the Colour Side is The Side With All the Colour. That's pretty much it. Colour colour colour. Plus a couple of other little bits...
In the top right corner is the 3-digit Colour Code that identifies the colour distinctly from all the others. Two hundred and sixteen cards, 216 Colour Codes.
In the bottom right, there's a Colour Corner Cube that tells you where the colour belongs, in one of the eight BTC Colour Corner families. Like sorting a regular deck of playing cards into suits, you can use this little icon in the bottom corner to easily sort all 216 cards into eight smaller sets of 27 cards each.

411: THE CODE SIDE
Okay kids, it's time to put on your Left Brains, flip the card over, and and see what's on the other side...
Yikes! That is a lot of info! Multiplied by 280 cards? Yes, it is. But don't worry, you'll get it. And once you've got it, you'll be deciphering colours faster than you can say 'enigma machine.'
If you're here because you were a Backer when BreakThroughColour debuted as a crowdfunding project on Kickstarter in June/July 2015, a special edition dosier of details for deciphering BTC has already been sent your way. If you don't have it yet, or you do and you have questions, get in touch.
If you weren't in on the BreakThrough breakthrough, no worries. With or without Colour Cards to follow along, all are welcome to dive and discover the BTC system, a whole new way to look at Hue, Value, and Saturation.
